The Free Store
The Free Store is a thrift shop where you can donate the things you don't need and pick up the ones you do for free! The Free Store offers a variety of items such as clothing, footwear, office supplies, kitchenware, electronics, lamps, books, small appliances, and much more. Make sure to stop by The Free Store to find supplies for your next project.

EcoEquitable
EcoEquitable is a nonprofit organization that recycles and sells fabric, hosts sewing workshops, and offers programs in employment and skills training for underemployed people in need, especially new immigrant women, who wish to enter the apparel and textile industry. Stop by EcoEquitable's boutique and attend their sales to purchase fabric and other recycled trinkets for your textile-based DIY projects.

uOttawa Richard L'Abbé Makerspace
Did you know our university possesses a Makerspace, where you can invent, build, tinker, and play? The student-run space, managed by the Faculty of Engineering, is equipped with 3D printers, embroidery machines, Arduinos, CNC mills, Handibots, laser cutters, Go Pros, and so much more. Check out the Makerspace's Eventbrite page to view and sign up for their upcoming workshops. The space is also open to students and the general public on certain days (visit their website for additional information).

Wallack's
Wallacks is one of the oldest art supply stores in Canada that offers a wide variety of artists materials, services and education. They have workshops on Fluid Acrylic Painting, watercolor painting and more. You can also check out their fine art gallery right next door.
