Are you new to the Ottawa area and want to get involved in a creative way? Here are five different DIY events happening throughout our nation's capital and neighbouring areas this fall!
Introduction to 3D Printing - September 16 and 18, 5:30pm - UOttawa
Have you ever wondered how 3D printing works but have no scientific background? Fret not! The University of Ottawa’s STEM is offering free workshops to teach 3D printing. This class is beginner level and attendees will get to bring home their creations! There is no fee for this event. Bring a laptop if you are able, if not one will be provided.

Reverse Canvas Workshop - Tuesday September 24, 7:30pm - Square Lemon,Ottawa
Using heat transfer vinyl and a small canvas, reversed, make a beautiful sign for yourself or someone special! Up and coming craft studio, Square Lemon, is hosting this cool workshop. There is a $25 fee that includes materials and guidance.

Wall Hanging Terrarium Workshop - Thursday September 26, 7:30pm - Square Lemon, Ottawa
Do you love plants and home decor? Up and coming craft studio, Square Lemon, is hosting a Wall Hanging Terrarium Workshop. Make your own little plant holder to get some nature in your space before winter comes. There is a $30 fee that includes all materials needed. Air Plants are an extra fee.

Fall Flower Harvest - Saturday September 28, 10:00am - Hendrik Farm, Chelsea QC
Wander through fields of autumnal flowers while you make two of your own bouquets. Spend your Saturday morning surrounded by Snapdragons and Strawflowers, flower shears and farm expertise is included in the $25 cover charge, all of which goes to the non-profit Hendrik Foundation.

Vinyl Cutting Workshop - Sunday October, 6, 3:00pm - 613 DIY Night
Decorate a mug with your own unique vinyl! This workshop provides everything you need to make a great mug with a Cricut Machine, maybe as a present or for your morning coffee. No experience required. There is a $45 charge for materials and instruction.

Introduction à l'impression 3D - Les 16 et 18 septembre à 17h30 - UOttawa
Vous êtes-vous déjà demandé comment l’impression 3D fonctionnait sans avoir de formation scientifique? Ne vous inquiétez pas! STEM de l’Université d’Ottawa offre des ateliers gratuits pour enseigner l’impression 3D. Ce cours est de niveau débutant et les participants pourront rapporter leurs créations à la maison! Il n'y a pas de frais pour cet événement. Apportez un ordinateur portable si vous le pouvez, sinon un ordinateur vous sera fourni.

Atelier inversé sur toile - Mardi 24 septembre, 19h30 - Square Lemon, Ottawa

Atelier sur le terrarium à suspendre - Le jeudi 26 septembre à 19 h 30 - Square Lemon, Ottawa
Aimez-vous les plantes et la décoration intérieure? Square Lemon, le studio d'artisanat, accueille un atelier de terrarium à suspendre. Faites votre propre petit porte-plante pour que la nature soit dans votre espace avant l’hiver. Il y a des frais de 30 $ qui incluent tout le matériel nécessaire. Les plantes aériennes sont un supplément.

Récolte de fleurs d'automne - Samedi 28 septembre à 10h00 - Hendrik Farm, Chelsea QC
Promenez-vous dans les champs de fleurs automnales pendant que vous faites deux de vos propres bouquets. Passez votre samedi matin entouré de fleurs de paille. De cisailles à fleurs et de l’expertise agricole comprise dans les frais de couverture de 25 $, qui sont entièrement reversés à la Fondation Hendrik, une organisation à but non lucratif.

Atelier de coupe de vinyle - Dimanche 6 octobre à 15h00 - 613 Bricolage
Décorez une tasse avec votre propre vinyle unique! Cet atelier fournit tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour confectionner une bonne tasse avec une machine Cricut, par exemple en cadeau ou pour votre café du matin. Pas d'expérience requise. Il y a des frais de 45 $ pour le matériel et les instructions.
